It looks like I may be getting married, yall.

*Sa pauses for a moment to allow the readership to regain its seating*

It seems my friend Larry has done something so ill-advised that the only solution may be creating a legal union with our Sa. He has a disease that is incurable but has been kept in check by medication. He obtained this medication at a significantly reduced cost from a county program. For some time now he has been low-balling his income in order to be eligible for this program. Once a year they review his case to determine whether or not he is still eligible for the program.

This year Larry went all altruistic on us and decided to report more income than he had in years past without consulting anyone and without checking the specifications of the program. He has his boss type up a letter stating the amount of his yearly income in lieu of presenting paycheck stubs. Evidently no bells went off with her so she typed the letter up just as he had requested. When he went for his case review, it was determined based on this new information that he now makes $100 too much to qualify for the program and will now be expected to shoulder the full cost of his medical treatment himselfto the tune of more than $1200 a month!

Sa will be kicking Larry when she sees him next. Hard. In the shin. Where it will really hurt.

Since I work at the insurance company and get my health care coverage at a significantly reduced cost and am unwilling to let Larry sit around and die for this foolish bit of honesty, I proposed.

We still have to do some investigation on what the potential tax and other implications of this union may be but in the next few weeks you may receive news of my impending nuptials and I wanted you all to be prepared.

I am going to kick him SO hard!
