September 24, 2003-4:46 a.m. What in the world would make Bush think he could go to the UN and get them to help with Iraq? These are the same people who tried to dissuade him from going there in the first damn place. Rather than listen and consider their take, he vilified our allies for not following him blindly into war. In order to sell the war domestically, he/his staff/the CIA tweaked the facts about weapons of mass destruction. They keep talking about the war in Iraq as though it is over. I don't know what arbitrary date they decided that the war ended but as far as I am concerned, as long as Americans are dying in uniform in Iraq, the war isn't over.
