THE LOVELY BONES
by
Alice Sebold

This book a little strange but nonetheless compelling. The book opens with the narrator, Susie Salmon, being brutally raped and murdered at the age of fourteen by a neighbor. After her murder, Susie watches her friends and family, even her murderer from her heaven.

Her heaven is not as you might imagine. It contains some things she knew on earth but a lot of it is all new. Susies time in heaven is as much a journey for peace and closure as the lives on Earth of those she left behind.

It sounds creepier in the explanation than it is in actuality.

I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.
