August 24, 2002-6:49 p.m.

Larry called me this morning from Home Depot. It seems he was there shopping for hooks or something and he heard a loud clacking noise.

Clack clack clack clack, clack clack clack clack.

When his curiosity got the best of him, he went to investigate and found that the clacking noise was made by an extraordinarily odd fellow wearing wooden shoes. Thats right. Wooden shoes. Just like the one pictured below.

I told Larry that I would give him five bucks if he would find the guy and go up to him and say,

Dude. Whats up with the wooden shoes? Are you gonna try to put your finger in a dike later or what?

My generous offer was declined.

*sigh*
