June 16, 2002-6:27 p.m. Could someone possibly explain this to me? It seems President Bush has authorized the CIA to remove Saddam Hussein from power by whatever means necessary. Did I miss something? Bush tried to tie the 9/11 terrorists to Iraq without success. His father had a shot at removing Saddam from power during the Gulf War and fumbled it. At that time Saddam had at least invaded another country, today he seems to have focused all of his attention on the subjugation of his own people. Please explain to me what has changed in the last decade that warrants risking American lives to topple Saddam Hussein. The only changes that I see are a change in administration and an increased fear of everything Islamic�not really the stuff you want to base an invasion or assignation on, now is it?
