November 25, 2002-8:50 a.m. So Saturday night was a lot of fun. I drank a bit too much�four top-shelf margaritas and two beers. Came home Sunday tired and a little hungover only to discover that there was a water leak down by the gate. I noticed this because there was water on the driveway and it hasn�t rained in a while. I attempted to get the water shut off to no avail and was forced to call on Bubba for help. He said he�d be there in a while. I bailed water out of the box where the cut-off to the house is and then went to Home Depot to fetch supplies. When Bubba finally got there, it was almost 6pm and pretty dark. Bubba couldn�t get the water shut off at the road either but his friend neighbor guy had a tool specifically for that and we were able to borrow it and get the water turned off. We ended up having to dig the pipe up in the dark until I hit upon the brilliant idea that I could move my truck over there and turn the brights on the hole. Once we found the leak, it ended up being a coupling that just needed to be tightened up. This morning, I�m playing hookie from work to take the truck in to be fixed/assessed. It doesn�t want to shift gears unless it is warmed up. I have to warm it up before I go anywhere or I end up getting to the end of the driveway and it won�t go into gear until it warms up a bit more. Also the clutch pedal squeaks when it is engaged. Hopefully whatever this is can be fixed today and will also be covered under warranty.
