Sheesh! The last few days have been a roller coaster ride from hell.

Bubba had chest pains on Tuesday and went to the ER. They were keeping him over night and it was my impression that they would be releasing him yesterday. After his cardiologist came in, it was decided that he would be transferred to the big hospital in Dallas and undergo another heart catheterization.

The doctor who performed this test is the associate of Bubbas cardiologist and had not seen the films from the original test but had read the report on the procedure from the other cardiologist. He said that there is minimal blockage in the major arteries surrounding the heart. The blockage is more confined to the small veins surrounding the heart that feed the arteries. Because these veins are so small, they wouldnt do any sort of surgical intervention.

He also said that the heart is stronger now than the report would lead one to believe. This could be a result of the fact that my brother has been on his medication consistently since January and went through cardiac rehab.

So for the time being, he will continue to be treated with medication and they arent seeing any need to get him on the transplant list anytime soon.

All in all its good news. Its just that the getting there is such a trip!
